These idols are created with organic and pure matti from the holy ghats of Vrindavan and clay from the basin of the Bay of Bengal, enriched with the sediment strength of the Ganga–Brahmaputra delta.
Gayiya idols are an integral part of Hindu worship, spiritual ambiance, and vastu prosperity.
Each Gayiya idol is individually hand-sculpted using traditional methods with love and care under the guidance of sculptor Gagan Vij.
“These organic clay cow sculptures are my humble tribute to the quiet grace of our rural life. I shaped them in raw, unrefined clay so that the earth itself becomes part of their presence. Each form carries a sense of simplicity, warmth, and belonging. Through these sculptures, I hope to evoke nostalgia, groundedness, and a gentle reminder of connection to nature .”
All materials used are organic in existence . Materials used are matti, clay, bamboo, paper pulp, sanai ki rassi, kachi ghani mustard oil, maida , makki ka aata , sugar, bee wax, wood , kapaas and wheat straw. The natural beauty of the sculpture shines in its true shades obtained from natural vegetation .
These cow sculptures are hand crafted from sacred clay collected from the holy ghats of Vrindavan and the fertile delta of the Bay of Bengal.
